DANNY SHELTON
"DON'T GIVE UP...Heaven's on Your Side"-CD
Danny Shelton is a man who loves the Lord with all his heart. I've known Danny all my life, ever since our parents and grandparents attended the same church in southern Illinois. I grew up listening to the musically talented and gifted Sheltons.

I could listen to their family harmony all day long, but I especially loved the times Danny would take his guitar and sing songs that he wrote. I was always amazed at how God gave him so much talent. Even at a young age, he could pick up a guitar and start strumming and humming, and the next thing you knew, he was singing the most beautiful songs, always in praise to Jesus.
Danny is still humming and strumming today and I think one of the reasons I'm so excited about this CD is because Danny wrote each and every song. You'll find yourself singing along with him on Give Him Glory, Here I Am, and All My Praise. Each song expresses his passionate love for Jesus and his deepest desire to make heaven his home. One of my favorites, The First Moment of Eternity, expresses so clearly that no matter what painful journey you've experienced here on this earth, the first moment of eternity . . . will be worth it all!
Melody Shelton-Firestone, Danny's daughter, joins him on the song Thank You Jesus and the words are heartfelt when they sing, "I just came to say I love You, and thank You for Calvary." I think you'll agree that two of the most meaningful songs on this CD are Lord, Let Me Hold on to You and Don't Give Up. If you have ever gone through a painful experience and honestly didn't know how to take your next step, then these words will go straight to your heart: "When your burden seems so heavy, and you struggle just to make it through the day, and it seems the world's against you . . . and you're tempted to walk away . . . don't give up, heaven's on your side!"
A special thank you to Bob Ford for encouraging Danny to record this CD, and for his love and support that made it possible. I know Danny did not write these songs to bring himself any glory; he wrote these songs for you! As you listen to this CD, remember that even on your darkest day . . . Jesus loves you, died to save you, and is coming again soon! Don't give up, heaven's on your side!
